Senate Majority Leader John Thune said the Senate was willing to go to conference with the House over housing affordability legislation that has divided the two chambers.
We asked Thune this afternoon how the Senate would react if the House passed a motion demanding a conference over the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. House Republicans are now actively weighing that move, as we reported Monday.
“My preference, obviously, would be to pass it, put it on the president’s desk,” Thune said. “But if they want to go to conference, we’ll go to conference.”
