Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) told reporters this morning that Kevin Warsh’s top priority as chair of the Federal Reserve would be addressing the consequences of artificial intelligence.
Warner met with Warsh this week. The Virginia Democrat said afterwards he was struck by Warsh’s focus on AI.
“In my conversation with him, he thought the single biggest item that he will have to address is AI and the economic consequences,” Warner said. “To me, that’s pretty powerful coming from the potentially future Fed chair.”
