Vault: Warsh clears key step toward hearing

Kevin Warsh’s paperwork for his nomination to lead the Federal Reserve has been filed with the Senate Banking Committee, according to a source familiar with the process.

That clears the way for the panel to schedule Warsh’s confirmation hearing as soon as next week. The panel requires one week of notice and typically holds hearings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Submitting the Office of Government Ethics documents is one of the key final steps toward nailing down a hearing date.
