Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) urged her caucus to support the House’s amended housing bill, defying opposition from the Senate.
In a fiery Dear Colleague letter we reviewed, Waters blasted the Senate process, telling House Democrats the other chamber had “unfortunately and repeatedly rebuffed our requests” to conference.
“Without these conversations, Chairman Hill and I were forced to move forward on improving the Senate’s bill,” Waters wrote.
