White House National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett is meeting with Ways and Means Committee Republicans during their weekly lunch right now.
Hassett is part of the tax “big six” working to coordinate tax plans, so it’s a big moment for him to talk tax with Ways and Means members. The committee has held two long sessions to start making decisions about what they want to do in the tax package, with another to come tomorrow morning.
