Cherfilus-McCormick to face rare ethics trial

Embattled Democratic Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (Fla.) – already under federal criminal indictment – will now face a “trial” of sorts within the Ethics Committee after the secretive panel released a lengthy list of alleged violations by the three-term lawmaker. Cherfilus-McCormick could face any number of potential sanctions, including a possible expulsion recommendation.
