The House and Senate voted Thursday to reauthorize FISA’s foreign surveillance authority for 45 days, passing legislation to extend the program just hours before the deadline.
The vote was 261-111 in the House. Twenty-six Republicans voted no, along with 85 Democrats. The Senate passed the measure by unanimous consent.
