House Republican leaders are vowing to go to the floor this evening to try to pass the House-Senate compromise budget resolution.
The vote is extremely close, and there’s a chance that it could fail on the House floor; the House GOP leadership is aware of that. It would be a setback for both Speaker Mike Johnson and President Donald Trump. But top House Republicans said they will return tomorrow and try to pass the resolution again if it fails this evening.
