House GOP appropriators are under pressure from Republican leadership and the White House budget office to find more spending cuts as they begin marking up funding bills.

Republican Appropriations subcommittee chairs met with Speaker Mike Johnson, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and House Appropriations Committee Chair Tom Cole (R-Okla.) this morning to hash out subcommittee allocations for FY2026 spending bills.
