Moderates in uproar over Medicaid cuts

Moderate House Republicans fighting their party’s plan to slash Medicaid spending are in an uproar over a suggestion they’d agree to a pair of changes that cut federal funding for state programs.

House GOP leaders are rushing to wrap up the final pieces of their reconciliation package carrying President Donald Trump’s agenda in order to hold a floor vote on the bill by Memorial Day.
