After months of hand-wringing from reluctant state lawmakers, Indiana Republicans released their new proposed congressional map Monday.
As expected, the map creates two new red seats by booting Democratic Rep. Frank Mrvan in the northwest corner of the Hoosier State and Democratic Rep. André Carson in Indianapolis.
This GOP proposal is a boon for the White House, which has been nagging Indiana’s Republican-controlled legislature to undertake a mid-decade redistricting.
