House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries suggested that Democrats would vote en masse against renewing FISA because President Donald Trump named Bill Pulte as acting director of national intelligence.
We scooped this morning that Sen. Mark Warner (Va.), the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, made a similar threat to Senate Majority Leader John Thune Tuesday. Warner said Thune should press Trump to remove Pulte, an heir to a home building company who currently serves as the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
