Jeffries backs García in MGP spat

The House floor should be interesting this evening.

Democrats will offer a motion to table Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez’s (D-Wash.) resolution to formally disapprove of retiring Rep. Chuy García (D-Ill.). MGP, a moderate Democrat from a red district, is unhappy that the timing of García’s retirement announcement resulted in his chief of staff becoming the only Democrat who filed to succeed him.
