Jeffries to endorse Mamdani in NYC mayoral

After months of delays, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, one of the most powerful Democrats in New York, is expected to endorse Zohran Mamdani for mayor, backing the Democratic nominee as early voting begins.

Mamdani won the Democratic mayoral primary on June 24 – 122 days ago. He’s beating former Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa in every public poll.
