Maryland state Senate President Bill Ferguson declined to say whether he would hold a vote on a new proposed congressional map for 2026, repeatedly dodging questions on the topic during a Friday news conference.
Ferguson’s comments come just one day after Maryland Democratic Gov. Wes Moore upped the pressure on Ferguson when addressing reporters in the Capitol.
