Sparks fly in House GOP meeting

Speaker Kevin McCarthy again implored House Republicans this morning to pass the appropriations bills on the floor this week and also approve a stopgap funding bill that he believes would force the Senate to negotiate with the House.

McCarthy told House Republicans gathered in the Capitol Hill Club that he thinks Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer would be more willing to strip Ukraine funding from the CR than Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
