Johnson pushes budget plan as problems begin

Speaker Mike Johnson and other top Republicans now say that they will not be able to release a budget resolution today, as nervous GOP aides and lawmakers express doubts that the tax and spending cut blueprint could be adopted.

Johnson and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise both said Republicans will need to work through the weekend to wrap up the budget blueprint. Here’s Scalise:
