Speaker Mike Johnson told us this morning that he wants to increase the debt limit for the entirety of Donald Trump’s presidency, an attempt to clear out a politically toxic vote for four years.

We asked Johnson if he wants to extend the borrowing cap for the length of Trump’s second term. Here’s what the speaker said:
