Republicans meet as speaker vote looms

House Republicans are gathered right now to hear from Majority Leader Steve Scalise and Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) in a candidate forum for who will be the next speaker.

This is a pivotal session. The House Republican Conference is scheduled to vote Wednesday morning on their choice of Jordan or Scalise.
