Scalise’s uphill battle

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise barely eked out a victory to become the GOP’s nominee for speaker.

And just hours later, there are enormous doubts about whether Scalise can get the votes on the floor to capture the gavel. And even if he’s ultimately able to do so, it’s far from clear how long it will take him – or at what cost.
