News: President Donald Trump privately pushed Speaker Mike Johnson Wednesday to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans, a huge move that could alter the course of the GOP’s tax bill.
Trump also pressed Johnson to close the carried interest “loophole,” a popular form of pay for private equity and investment fund managers, according to multiple sources familiar with the call.
