DORAL, Fla. — House Republicans are kicking off their annual retreat Monday at the Trump National Doral, with the centerpiece of the day being President Donald Trump’s evening speech to lawmakers.
Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) is starting the event with a stunningly Islamophobic statement. The second-term Republican posted on X that “Muslims don’t belong in American society. Pluralism is a lie.” This will pretty much guarantee that reporters will ask GOP leaders about the remarks.
