Trump tells GOP to reject funding bill without SAVE Act as CR teeters

Just hours before the presidential debate and 20 days before federal agencies run out of money, former President Donald Trump said Republicans should shut down the government if Democrats refuse to accept a provision that requires voters to prove they’re U.S. citizens in order to register to vote in federal elections.
