Powell’s next date with Congress, plus Werfel talks tax deal

Banking news: Federal Reserve Chair Jay Powell is set to testify before Congress in the first week of March.

The House Financial Services Committee will get the first crack at the Fed chair on March 6, according to sources familiar with the planning. The Senate Banking Committee will follow on March 7.
