Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) and Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.) are pushing Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to require more tracking of advanced chips exports following U.S. indictments of three people for allegedly smuggling billions of dollars worth of top semiconductors.
“We write to you alarmed about yet another case of large-scale chip smuggling,” the two lawmakers wrote in the Friday letter.
