Lawmakers chat jets and taxes

It was a busy week on Capitol Hill, kicked off by the White House’s latest budget proposal – complete with a full slate of tax cuts and hikes – landing with the usual partisan thud.

But a couple of moves by the Biden administration stuck out to us. The administration took new aim at businesses' private planes with a string of fresh tax proposals and trotted out a free online tax filing tool to mixed reactions. So what do lawmakers think? Let’s get into it.
