Senate poised to reject Sanders’ bid to block Israel arms sales

The Senate is expected to roundly reject an effort by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) to block the sale of certain weapons to Israel.

Sanders, a longtime critic of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, said the United States is “complicit” in the humanitarian disaster that has unfolded in Gaza in the 13 months since Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on Israel.
