Inside the Senate GOP lunch: Thune tips his hand on reconciliation plans

Senate Majority Leader John Thune told Senate Republicans at their closed-door lunch on Tuesday that they should expect to vote on a compromise budget resolution the week of April 7, according to multiple attendees.

Thune and Speaker Mike Johnson have said they want to pass the compromise blueprint before leaving town for the two-week Easter break. The week of April 7 is the final week before that scheduled recess.
