Rescissions on glide path in Senate

A vote-a-rama is underway in the Senate on the $9 billion GOP rescissions package, setting up a vote on final passage late tonight.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune said he expects very few Republican amendments, while Democrats are indicating that they’ll force several votes on individual spending cuts outlined in the proposal.
