Money mystery in the Texas Senate race

Several interesting things are happening in the very wild Texas GOP Senate primary.

First, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) announced that his campaign raised $3.9 million in the second quarter and has $8.9 million on hand. But Cornyn campaign officials note that the sum was not only his reelection account, it was “between the re-election campaign and the associated Cornyn Victory Committee.”
