OpenAI CEO Sam Altman visited the Hill on Wednesday as his company called on Congress to subject the most powerful artificial intelligence models to mandatory risk evaluations.
Altman’s visit comes a day after President Donald Trump signed an executive order setting up a process for leading AI labs to give the government a 30-day preview of upcoming state-of-the-art models, but on a voluntary basis.
