The Anthropic-backed network promoting artificial intelligence safety is up with ads focusing on two moderate Democrats who are quickly emerging as players to watch in AI regulation.
The Public First Action group and its affiliated Jobs and Democracy PAC are airing ads supporting Democratic Reps. Josh Gottheimer (N.J.) and Valerie Foushee (N.C.), two co-chairs of the new House Democratic Commission on AI.
The PACs, which support strong federal guardrails for the technology, are running the ads as they battle a separate campaign spending effort from rival AI companies seeking less regulation.
