The app developer group backed by Apple, Google and Amazon is airing an ad claiming lawmakers pushing for an age-verification bill are headed in the “wrong direction.”
The ACT | The App Association group went on Washington D.C.’s airwaves Friday to say Rep. John James’ (R-Mich.) App Store Accountability Act “doesn’t even stand up in court.” The ad comes days before a much-anticipated markup at the House Energy and Commerce Committee that’s likely to include key tenets of the bill.
