Tech: Capitol Hill bearish on AI framework

A staggering 0% of senior Capitol Hill staffers believe it’s “very likely” Congress passes federal artificial intelligence regulation by the end of this year, according to our latest Canvass survey. 

Rather, 86% of Democratic and Republican aides we surveyed say it’s “unlikely” we see any federal AI framework before 2027. The pessimism highlights just how much of a tall order lawmakers hoping for AI action face in this election year.
