Federal Communications Chair Brendan Carr is dismissing the bipartisan backlash against his comments about Jimmy Kimmel’s show as part of a Democratic “campaign of projection and distortion.”
At an event Monday, Carr rejected any claim that he “threatened” ABC or its affiliate stations after Kimmel suggested the shooter charged with murdering conservative activist Charlie Kirk was a supporter of the MAGA movement. Carr framed the criticism as a political ploy by Democrats.
And in a new chapter to the whole saga, Disney announced this afternoon that Kimmel’s late-night show will return to the air Tuesday night.
