Carr weighs in on Pentagon spectrum issue

Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr said Tuesday that the debate over the fate of Pentagon airwaves had already been “hashed out” by the One Big Beautiful Bill as a new controversy emerges in Congress.

Carr weighed in on the provision in the Senate’s National Defense Authorization Act that would give military leaders power to block auctions of defense spectrum. While stopping short of calling for it to be thrown out, Carr said the issue had already been “covered” by the GOP legislative package earlier this year.
