News: A bipartisan group of senators is pushing to crack down on people who use artificial intelligence to create and distribute obscene depictions of kids.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) — who faces a primary challenge from his right — is leading colleagues from both parties in introducing a bill today that would subject offenders who use AI to produce and share child sexual abuse material to the same penalties imposed on people who engage in other forms of child pornography.
