If Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio) has his way, the House Energy and Commerce Committee will focus on bills that can become law next year.

Sure, that sounds obvious, but Latta, who’s running against Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.) to take over the panel, told us that to get that done, he’d sometimes rather break up legislation into smaller components than push sprawling measures.
