Chinese hacks should alert public to extent of Beijing’s spying

Recent and high-profile cyberattacks carried out by China in the United States should underscore for the American public how aggressively Beijing is spying on the U.S. government and its citizens, Rep. John Moolenaar (R-Mich.), who chairs the House’s China committee, said today.

Speaking in Washington, D.C., Moolenaar also addressed the current “chaos” in U.S. foreign aid under Elon Musk and lawmakers’ ongoing commitment to restricting American investment in sensitive Chinese sectors.
