A group of Senate Democrats opposed to banning TikTok is pushing President Donald Trump on his plans to save the app, asking him to detail the potential buyers for the Chinese-owned service and any fines Apple and Google may face under current law for allowing the app to be downloaded.
The letter from Sens. Ed Markey (Mass.), Cory Booker (N.J.) and Chris Van Hollen (Md.) arrives as the pause on fines that Trump put in place at the beginning of his administration will expire on April 5.
