This month, the game platform Roblox settled with Nevada, Alabama and West Virginia. The company agreed to pay more than $32 million in separation agreements and to put chat limits and age check procedures in place.
The settlements come amid allegations — including in lawsuits from at least four other states — that the company failed to protect kids, often by allowing predators to reach out to young users.
