Beijing doesn’t want Nvidia’s H200 chips getting into China for now, President Donald Trump and his top trade adviser said Friday.
Despite the Commerce Department approving export licenses for the chips months ago and Chinese companies making purchase orders, Beijing continues to block Nvidia from selling its chip. China is instead committed to shoring up its own production of artificial intelligence chips, Trump said.
