Republicans are doing all they can to quickly move the nomination of Kevin Warsh to be the next Federal Reserve chair while they wait for the Justice Department to conclude its investigation into current chair, Jay Powell.
The Senate Banking Committee is planning to hold Warsh’s nomination hearing as soon as the week of April 13, according to two sources familiar with the planning.
The date remains fluid and will be contingent on Warsh submitting his full paperwork to the committee, the sources said. We broke the news on our text platform Sunday afternoon.
