At Punchbowl News, she oversees major special editorial projects, the polling product and coordinates the internship program. Elvina was previously Washington deputy bureau chief for Business Insider. She has also covered the economy at Thomson Reuters and Market News International. She’s written about energy and the environment for CQ Roll Call and reported in Florida, Arizona and Uganda. Elvina has taught college journalism classes at American University and Makerere University Kampala. She holds a master’s degree from Arizona State University’s Cronkite School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree from Makerere University Kampala.
