Jason Smith on tax bill’s future

Ways and Means Committee Chair Jason Smith (R-Mo.) dished on the status of the tax bill this morning after the panel approved its section of the House GOP reconciliation bill Wednesday.

Smith spoke at the Economic Club of Washington. The Missouri Republican was in good spirits, even saying he had the best sleep of his life last night after the panel’s overnight, 17-plus hour markup. That’s relatable!
