Senate Commerce Committee Chair Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Wednesday laid out a long-awaited set of priorities for his panel’s treatment of artificial intelligence.
Cruz’s “pillars” include preventing states from regulating AI, “government censorship” and algorithmic scams. The framework also came as Cruz introduced a bill that would let AI developers seek waivers from federal regulations as they test their products.
