Senators are pushing the Trump administration to use a regulatory conference next year to stop China from making moves that could allow it to secure dominance in spectrum-based technologies such as wireless communications and satellites.
During a hearing on Tuesday, Sens. Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) and Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) urged coordination between U.S. agencies, private stakeholders and allies ahead of the World Radiocommunication Conference in Shanghai.
