The Association for Competitive Technology held its annual member fly-in this past week to tell congressional staff and Trump administration officials its views on issues like AI, antitrust and smartphone age checks.

If that organization sounds only distantly familiar, you may have known the group as the App Association. ACT is actually the original name of the group — and it’s retained the acronym even when using the “shorthand” for its smartphone app membership.
