President Donald Trump went after the four “bad Republicans” who provided the decisive votes to deliver his first-ever Iran war powers defeat in the House on Wednesday.
But the president’s blistering Truth Social rebuke on Thursday came even as supporters of the resolution said that it wouldn’t weaken the president’s hand in ongoing negotiations with Iran.
“We have to follow the law. We’re a nation of the rule of law. I think that’s what everybody respects about the United States of America,” Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), who backed the resolution, told reporters Wednesday night.
