Treasury locks in EV rules, angering critics

The Biden administration is out today with final rules for new electric vehicle tax credits, which quickly drew rebukes for granting some flexibility to automakers on using materials from China.

The EV credits have become perhaps the biggest political target for lawmakers among the hundreds of billions of dollars in clean energy tax credits in the Inflation Reduction Act.
